Qualifide

Matt started off in the scene as a pirate radio dj mixing old school garage with new u.s. and u.k. garage. But when the original 4x4 sound died down to make way for 2 step he decided to make his own productions to fill up the void in his sets. After a while these productions started generating interest from labels and he was soon commissioned to do some remixes, this is when he thought of the alias 'QUALIFIDE' to produce under.

The first Qualifide production was back in 2000 when Matt was commissioned to remix one of the scenes classics: "NITE LIFE" by Kim English. Many more remixes were soon to follow including: THE NIGHTCRAWLERS, THE WIDEBOYS, THE LIGHTHOUSE FAMILY and LADIES FIRST.

A year later in 2001 he decided to slow down on the remixing and start up his own record label "QUALIFIDE RECORDINGS" as an outlet for his productions, also bringing in other producers (such as EL-B and JASON H) to collaborate with. Three years on it has grown into one of the most consistent UK garage labels and has encouraged back some of the scenes finest producers such as CLUB ASYLUM and JAMES LAVONZ releasing quality music for the scene.

Matt is now producing and remixing for various labels and artists as well as keeping the releases flowing on qualifide recordings so watch this space.........
